ABAC achievers

Stephen Aaron, a sophomore political science major from Ellijay, has two favorite qualities he likes most when it comes to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Those two attributes are the small class sizes and the family atmosphere.

“Since attending ABAC, I have learned that I am a very independent and open-minded person, and love doing what I can for the community,” Aaron said.

Maybe that is why his dual interests to his school and politics led him to run for, and win the slot as the Student Government Association’s vice president for 2010-11.  Aaron also served as secretary for the ABAC Young Republicans club last year and will continue that duty in the fall.

Aaron hopes his love for politics will carry him into the future.

“I plan to go into the political arena,” Aaron said. “Eventually I would like to serve in the highest office in the land.”

Until then, he is enjoying his time at ABAC and making his mark in campus politics. A quote that has significant meaning to Aaron is by Albert Einstein, who said “science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”
